BISS, Multi RUBISS, Ch Nightquest Scarlet (AI)
"Blaze"

Blaze is a stunning red girl who is the Mumma at Nightquest. She is a tall girl with a great outline, consisting of excellent topline, lovely rear angles and true movement. She has cat like feet with black nails. Her temperament is outgoing and friendly. She is beautiful inside and out.

Blaze has won a Best Exhibit In Show, 3 Runner Up Best Exhibit In Shows at Breed specialty Level, and in 2009 she won the prestigious award 'Bullmastiff Of The Year'.

We would like to sincerely thank Sylvia Shaw (Boadicea Bullmastiffs) for entrusting us with her beloved Edward (Ch Boadicea Iron Duke) and to Jessamy Morrissey for her help along the way with this mating. Having Blaze in our kennels is a real privilege.

Blaze is a delight to own, exhibit and have as a companion. I am forever admiring her and am so proud she is ours.

Blaze has had two beautiful litters to date.

The first litter Blaze whelped was on the 19th March '08. She had 5 boys and 5 girls sired by our own boy
Ch Nightquest Tobin Bronze. It was a long awaited mating and our first Nightquest X Nightquest litter. From this litter we kept two girls and 1 boy.

One of her daughters Ch Nightquest
Belle Du Jour won a BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW at only 18 months of age and in 2009 won 'Best Junior Bullmastiff Of The Year' and then in 2010 won her 2nd 'BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW' and won 'Bullmastiff Of The Year'.

Her other daughter Ch Nightquest Century Miss is always highly competitive and has won numerous class in show awards in Victoria and interstate.

Her son Ch Nightquest Rory's Jester started his career off with a bang winning BABY PUPPY IN SHOW at QLD's Bullmastiff National under a breed specialist. He then continued his success winning class in show awards in 3 states of Australia. He is titled and retired from the ring due to an injury.

The other 2 pups sold on main register from this litter were Ch Nightquest Miss Finland owned by Susie Anderson and Ch Nightquest Sir Dapper owned by R & H Hillam.

The second litter from Blaze was whelped on the 19th November '10 and is an exciting litter sired by UK's top winning Bullmastiff UK Ch Jaynos Big Bopper (JW). This litter will hit the show ring in March 2011. We would like to say a huge thank you to Roger Jones (Jaynos kennels) for all his help and continued support. We hope to make you proud!

Critiques

Opposite Baby Puppy In Show - Bullmastiff Club Of Victoria Championship Show 2006
Judge - Breed Specialist Mr. Andrew Burt.
Critique - '51/2 month old baby bitch with reasonable balance. Might be slightly longer than I like, time will tell. Adequate headpiece. Reasonable breadth of skull. Good stop. Muzzle could be broader. Good dark eye. Just undershot. I would prefer a broader bottom jaw. Nice width of chest. Well angulated in front. Well boned, good feet, dark nails. Adequate spring of rib. A little long in loin. Excellent topline on the stack. Well angulated behind. Nice set on of tail. Excellent red colouring with small amount of smut on chest. Excellent movement out and back. Side gait has an excellent flow with excellent reach and drive. Time will tell with head, but this bitch has won on her construction and movement.' GRADED - EXCELLENT POTENTIAL

2/11 Baby Puppy Bitch - Bullmastiff Club Of NSW 16/9/06
Judge - Breed Specialist Mr. Barry Marion (Treebrook Bullmastiffs)
'
Another promising red baby girl, square head with good pigment, good boning. A slightly softer topline than the first . All 3 pups were of good breed type.'

Opposite Junior In Show - Bullmastiff Club Of Victoria Championship Show 2007
Judge - Breed Specialist Mrs. Anne Marie Class (France)
'Lovely head and expression, lovely mask, powerful, good topline, excellent front, excellent angulation and feet, excellent movement.'

BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW - AUSTRALIAN BRED IN SHOW - 56 ENTRIES
Bullmastiff Club of Victoria Championship Show 5/10/08
Judge - Breed Specialist Mrs. Joy Stevenson
1st Place - Winner very nice type of bitch, nice head, good bone, good topline, moved very well but looks very feminine.
Challenge Bitch and Best In Show - 'Really nice type of bitch from the Australian Bred class, lovely topline, she's obviously had puppies but she's come back in good condition, nice bone structure, lovely head, good expression, still a very feminine bitch.'

2ND/10 - NSW SPECIALTY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW - 12/4/09
Judge -  Bullmastiff Specialist - Mrs. Mave Rostron (Graecia Bullmastiff Kennels UK)
Another big red girl with a good head and skull. Mouth fine. Lovely front and rear. Lively mover.

2nd /6 Open Bitch - BCV Bullmastiff Specialty 3/10/10
Judge - Mr G Sparham (Gameguard Kennels)

Another excellent quality red bitch with a superb outline. Better proportions than first (Runner Up To Best Exhibit In Show Winner) in regard to length to height ratio. Unfortunately when viewed from the front she needed more width and depth of chest in order to challenge the winner, her head needed more definition and width also.
